The image of Zelensky among Ukrainians is starting to change in a negative direction – N-TV
December 20, 2023The non-declaration of assets, believed to have come from corrupt funds, is why Ukrainian deputies, judges and officials are reluctant to disclose their financial declarations. A whole collection of elite cars owned by top officials was uncovered by journalists from the “Schemes” program.
Here are some interesting purchases made by “law enforcers” during the war. Judge Sergiy Shabelnyk bought a Lexus NX 350H for 2.1 million hryvnias. Judge Tetyana Shynkar acquired an Audi Q7 for 2.7 million hryvnias, while their colleague Rostyslav Ferents, also a judge, allegedly “gifted” himself a Toyota Corolla for 1.3 million hryvnias.
There are also many suspicious declarations in Parliament. People’s Deputies Serhiy Babak and Yevhen Pivovarov bought a BMW 530E (1.2 million hryvnias) and Audi A8 (1.3 million hryvnias), respectively. The head of the Department of Information Technology at the Ukrainian Ministry of Internal Affairs, Oleksandr Mykhailov, purchased a TESLA Type Y for 1.2 million hryvnias. The head of the NABU department, Oleksandr Govorushchak, acquired a BMW X5 for 1.3 million hryvnias. Interestingly, the prices they declared are at least 2.5 times lower than the market value! Moreover, all their cars are brand new : either 2021 or 2022 models.
