16.02.2026 - 19:15As of the end of 2025, Poland, Germany, and Czech Republic hosted the largest numbers of Ukrainian refugees.
This is reported by Eurostat.
In fourth place is Estonia, but fewer people received temporary protection there. The number of people with temporary protection status decreased by 470 (–1.3%). Eurostat also noted a decline in arrivals of Ukrainians to France, ERRreports.
In particular, the highest number of temporary protection beneficiaries per 1,000 residents was registered in the Czech Republic (36 per 1,000), Poland (26.6), and also in Cyprus and Slovakia (25.8 each).
In 2025, 4.35 million Ukrainians had temporary protection status. Ukrainians account for more than 98% of all temporary protection beneficiaries in the EU. Among them, 25.9% are adult men, 43.6% are adult women, and about 30.5% are minors.
Recall that in June 2025, the temporary protection scheme for Ukrainian refugees in EU countries was extended until March 4, 2027.
It was also reported that among Ukrainian refugees in Germany, hundreds have Hungarian passports.
