Ukrainian woman arrested in Paris while attempting to arrange a “wedding” for her nine-year-old daughter

In France, police detained a 41-year-old Ukrainian woman who attempted to organize a “wedding” involving her 9-year-old daughter as the “bride.”

The “ceremony” was planned to take place at Disneyland Paris. The alleged “groom” — a 22-year-old British citizen — was also detained on the scene.

Two more individuals, both citizens of Latvia aged 55 and 24, were also taken into custody.

According to investigators, the ceremony was scheduled for sunrise, before the park officially opened. However, once it became clear that the “bride” was a minor child, Disneyland representatives canceled the event and denied the group entry to the park.

The British suspect claimed to be the director of a production company, and insisted the event was meant to be part of a video shoot. A police source confirmed that the possibility of a staged or scripted event is being considered — guests may have been hired as extras, and the “wedding” might have been a performance.

A medical examination of the girl — reportedly a Ukrainian national — found no signs of physical abuse.
