27.09.2024 11:25The debts of Ukrainians on microloans have increased by 56% since the beginning of the year, reaching 14.5 billion hryvnias.
This is evidenced by data from the monitoring service of registration data “Opendatabot.”
In the first half of the year, 3.9 million credit agreements were concluded for a total of 26.7 billion UAH. This is approximately the same figure as a year ago, but the loan amount and the average credit amount are growing.
The average microloan amount increased by 1.4 times compared to last year, reaching 6,776 UAH.
It was also reported that 96% of microloans taken by Ukrainians this year were obtained online.
During the first year of the full-scale invasion, debt to microfinance organizations decreased by 4 billion UAH, but in 2023, the debt began to grow again.
It should be recalled that, according to data from the State Statistics Service, the average monthly salary in Ukraine in the second quarter of 2024 increased to 20,964 UAH, which is 22.1% more than the same period last year.
Earlier, the media reported that the number of Ukrainians with debts for utility services increased by 37% since the beginning of the Russian invasion in 2022.
