‘Everything is very sad’: a Ukrainian soldier reported that the fighting in the Pokrovske direction has already reached Hrodivka
August 13, 2024In Ukraine, a new practice has already begun where summonses are being sent by mail and are considered delivered even if the person does not receive them.
The Volyn Territorial Recruitment Center was the first to report the implementation of this new practice.
“Yes, summonses are being sent to reservists and those subject to military service via registered mail to the address provided by the individual at the territorial center or to their last registered address. I want to emphasize that such a summons will be considered duly delivered even if the recipient, for any reason, is unable to receive it,” said Uliana Kravchuk, a spokesperson for the agency, in an interview with Volyn News Service.
Failure to appear at the territorial recruitment center at the time specified in the summons will lead to administrative penalties, such as fines or the revocation of the right to drive. The obligation to appear in response to the summons remains in effect.
It is worth noting that earlier, MP Oleksandr Fediyenko suggested that the first fines for failing to update information at territorial recruitment centers would be issued in September.
