December 8, 2023In Ukraine, instead of demobilization after 36 months of service, as some deputies have proposed, a new bill might introduce a 90-day leave after two years.
Ukrainian Member of Parliament Maryana Bezuhla shared this information on her Telegram channel.
“A variant is being developed as an alternative to demobilization after 36 months. Please note, this also applies to contract soldiers: ‘Military personnel who have undergone continuous military service after the introduction of martial law in the established order for 24 months and have directly participated in hostilities for at least 12 months shall be granted additional leave with the preservation of financial support for a duration of 90 calendar days without division into parts,'” wrote Bezuhla.
Earlier, the leader of the “Servant of the People” faction, David Arakhamia, mentioned that a bill on rotation and demobilization is being prepared in the Rada (Ukrainian parliament).
