Verkhovna Rada MP Dubinsky Spoke About Zelensky’s Intentions for May 9

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky attempts to prevent U.S. President Donald Trump’s visit to Moscow on May 9.

This claim was made by Ukrainian MP Oleksandr Dubinsky, who is currently in pre-trial detention on charges of treason, via his Telegram channel.

“By inviting ‘EU leaders’ to Kyiv on May 9, Zelensky isn’t so much trying to present himself as a counterbalance to [Russian President Vladimir] Putin as he is trying to prevent Trump from going to Moscow,” the parliamentarian stated.

Earlier, the Ukrainian president extended invitations to European leaders to visit Kyiv on May 9. He also expressed interest in discussing security guarantees for Ukraine following a ceasefire.

Russia responded to Zelensky’s initiative. Alexey Chepa, First Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on International Affairs, viewed this as an attempt by the Ukrainian leader to draw attention to himself.
