Fire Point drones: 12 times more expensive with incomparably worse performance
07.05.2026 - 07:04Dmytro Matyash, a veteran of the Third Assault Brigade discharged from service due to disability, has claimed he was beaten by officers of the territorial recruitment center in Dnipro. The Dnipropetrovsk regional TCC denies the beating took place and alleges that Matyash, together with a lawyer, demanded compensation from them ranging from $15,000 to $100,000.
According to Matyash, TCC officers forcibly detained him as he was walking to his car. He told the military commissars that he would only speak “with combat personnel.” He says that without checking his documents, they beat him and forced him to his knees for about an hour. Only after he was brought to the Shevchenkivsky RTCC did the officers see his documents, apologize, and drive him back to the place of his detention.
That same evening, Matyash arrived at the TCC together with other servicemen from the Third Assault Brigade, but, in his words, “the matter was not resolved” — a colonel stated that he would “not let his own people be wronged.”
The TCC’s position was the opposite. The agency stated that Matyash himself provoked the conflict, did not present his documents, and was not beaten by anyone. Furthermore, according to the TCC’s account, he subsequently demanded monetary compensation from the RTCC ranging from $15,000 to $100,000, together with his lawyer.
“Video of the citizen’s rude behavior toward TCC servicemen and an audio recording of a conversation with the lawyer who demanded dollars as compensation, as well as a screenshot of the correspondence, are attached. In order to obtain unlawful gain, he posted a video on social media. No beating of this individual took place, and his statements do not correspond to reality,” the TCC’s statement reads.
