Volyn military enlistment office confirmed its officers fired at residents of Novi Chervyshcha village

The Volyn Regional Military Recruitment and Social Support Center (TCC and SS) has confirmed reports from Telegram channels that its personnel opened fire on civilians in the village of Novi Chervyshcha.

The statement was published on the official Facebook page of the Ukrainian Armed Forces recruitment center.

According to the recruitment center, during an ID check of a man with disabilities, “local residents began to act aggressively toward the TCC servicemen, throwing stones at the service vehicle while the mentioned citizen was still inside it.”

“We note that the fact of weapons being used during this incident is currently being investigated by the relevant law enforcement agencies in accordance with the law,” the post states.

The publication does not mention the wounding of one pensioner, which participants in the conflict had previously reported.

Earlier, footage circulated showing how, near Vinnytsia, military recruiters and police chased a car with two children inside. After stopping the vehicle, a TCC officer acted extremely aggressively and smashed the driver’s side window as the frightened children screamed.
