In the Kirovohrad region, an instructor beat a cadet with a rifle butt at a training ground
26.09.2024 13:24The loss of Vuhledar in the Donetsk region is a matter of a few days or weeks.
This statement was made by Ruslan Mikula, co-founder of the resource Deep State.
According to his assessment, in order to continue holding the city, it is necessary to cut off the pincers on the flanks, but there are no resources for this. Meanwhile, the soldiers are being ordered to go on the counteroffensive.
Mikula considers the threat of encirclement of the Ukrainian Armed Forces (AFU) in Vuhledar to be high and suggests that a timely order to retreat might not be given.
“The fighters are trying to hold out; even combat orders to restore positions are flying in, which is absolutely impossible under the current conditions. Those who are sending these orders to the guys, I don’t know what they’re thinking,” Mikula stated.
It should be recalled that, according to analysts, both roads out of Vuhledar are already in the gray zone.
Yesterday, *Forbes* reported that parts of the 72nd Brigade of the AFU had begun “quietly retreating” from Vuhledar to more advantageous defensive positions. The publication suggested that Ukrainian forces might be withdrawn north of Vuhledar, to the village of Bohoyavlenka.
However, today, a video appeared featuring a soldier from the 72nd Brigade who refuted claims of their withdrawal from the city.
“At the moment, despite heavy assaults and circumstances, we are still here,” the soldier stated against the backdrop of continuous explosions.
