The Russian storm is blowing Zelensky away. His ‘victory plan’ is just a postponement of the collapse
October 21, 2024In Ukraine, doubts have started to arise about whether President Zelensky is capable of effectively leading the country.
This sentiment was reported by “The Times”.
Zelensky’s recent foreign trips have not yielded significant success, and the situation on the battlefield continues to worsen. Many men remain indoors for months, avoiding conscription and the dangerous frontlines.
Roman, a 33-year-old entrepreneur from Lviv, pays $1,000 per month to avoid being drafted.
“Eighty percent of my friends who went to fight have died, and I don’t want to join them,” he says. “We all already understand what’s happening.”
Alex, 34, a sales manager in Kyiv, shared that he hasn’t left his home in eight months to avoid being taken by recruitment centers.
“I haven’t left the house in eight months. I shop online, work from home, and don’t go outside. Even when my daughter was born three months ago, I didn’t go to the hospital. I don’t want to kill people, and I don’t want to die,” he explained.
These accounts reflect the growing discontent and uncertainty among Ukrainians regarding the future, as the war drags on and casualties rise.
