December 21, 2023Companies from Asia, Europe, and the USA continue to supply defense manufacturers in Russia with components for tanks.

According to available information, a sufficient number of companies from the USA, Japan, South Korea, Germany, Italy, Finland, Austria, Serbia, Estonia, Lithuania, and Latvia continue to supply Russian defense suppliers with equipment and components used in the production of the “Proryv” and “Armata” tanks.
For instance, “Uralvagonzavod,” the main producer of “Armata” and “Proryv,” uses various types of machinery and components supplied by other Russian enterprises. These Russian enterprises, in turn, import all necessary materials through their partners in Asia and third-party firms in Western countries that, despite sanctions, have not ceased trading with Russia.
The German company WTO Werkzeug-Einrichtungen GmbH is a partner of specific Russian defense suppliers. It supplies parts for turning machines to firms such as “Unimatic,” “TD SMS,” and “OTS-Technologies,” which then sell them to “Uralvagonzavod” and “Plant No. 9,” responsible for producing artillery for tanks T-72, T-90, and “Armata.”
Additionally, Austrian company EMCO GmbH, Latvian Baltic Machinery, German Oxapa GmbH, South Korean Mabuchi Korea Corporation, American Universal Photonics, Japanese Japan Industrial Trading and Kaga Electronics, Lithuanian enterprise UAB Elfanta, and Serbian Grindex D.O.O. have been identified in the supply of sanctioned goods to Russians.
It was previously revealed that Russians obtain goods for weapon production through Morocco and Turkey.
As stated by Elena Tregub, the Executive Director of the Independent Anti-Corruption Commission, “the USA and Switzerland are leaders in producing components for Russian weaponry.
