“Witkoff has proven himself to be an effective and talented negotiator,” – Peskov

The special envoy of U.S. President Donald Trump, Steven Witkoff, has shown himself to be an effective and talented negotiator.

This was stated by Russian presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov.

“We are already well acquainted with Mr. Witkoff. He is effective — he has proven his effectiveness recently in the Middle East. And we hope that his talents will further contribute to work on this, the Ukrainian track,” said the official Kremlin representative.

According to Peskov, the Russian side also expects that the diplomatic skill of American negotiators will help encourage Ukraine to make active efforts toward resolving the conflict.

Earlier, the special representative of Russian President Vladimir Putin, Kirill Dmitriev, stated that dialogue with Trump’s team continues on the basis of the agreements reached during the summit in Alaska.
