11.03.2025 12:52The Head of the Ukrainian President’s Office, Andriy Yermak, believes Europe should not allow a full ceasefire in Ukraine until the country receives security guarantees.
Yermak expressed this opinion in a column for the British newspaper The Guardian.
“Reliable security guarantees must be provided before Europe can allow a complete ceasefire in Ukraine. Europe cannot risk allowing Russia a full pause in combat operations, which would enable it to rebuild its forces, regain strength, and return to seize additional Ukrainian territories and resources,” the head of the Presidential Office wrote.
As a reminder, Donald Trump has suggested halting all combat operations first, followed by peace negotiations. Ukraine, however, proposes initially stopping only aerial and naval strikes, without halting ground combat.
