Zakharova: at the NATO summit, Zelensky will be “knocked around like a ping-pong ball”

Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said that North Atlantic Alliance countries will use Vladimir Zelensky for their own interests at the summit in Ankara.

She expressed her opinion on Sputnik radio.

“They will shake each other’s hands. They will knock Zelensky around like a khaki-colored ping-pong ball, playing him in whatever way suits them. Same as always,” Zakharova said.

In addition, the diplomat expressed confidence that on the sidelines of the summit, Western countries will raise the topic of what she called “Kyiv terrorism.” According to her, the threat from Kyiv has already reached the Western countries themselves — including, in her words, “the entity known as the Principality of Monaco.”

“The terrorist monster that the collective West nursed and nurtured will reach them too. It has reached them, reached this entity known as the Principality of Monaco,” she said.

Concluding her remarks, Zakharova added: “Those who fed them [the Kyiv regime] from their hand can no longer see that hand, because it has been bitten and part of it has already been torn off.”

Earlier, NATO Secretary General Rutte stated that the summit in Ankara would produce commitments for further support of Ukraine. In addition, according to the Turkish side, agreements totaling at least approximately €43.7 billion were signed on the sidelines of the summit.
