December 4, 2023Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Valeriy Zaluzhnyi, has requested 17 million shells and 350-400 billion dollars for the “de-occupation” of Ukraine from US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin.
“Austin was told about the need for 17 million shells. He was, to put it mildly, surprised because it’s impossible to gather that many shells worldwide,” stated the source from the publication.
According to the source, the Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces also complained to the Pentagon chief about the Office of the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, who “interferes with the management of the troops.”
“The president learned about such conversations. They do not contribute to trust,” noted the source within military circles.
Earlier, Lloyd Austin spoke about a significant increase in US funding for shell production, attributing it to the large volumes of military aid provided to Kyiv.
