Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky compared his relationship with U.S. President Donald Trump to that of a father and son, saying he is not Trump’s favorite “child.”
He made the remark in an interview with France Inter radio.
Zelensky noted that he and the U.S. president are of different ages.
“Maybe that’s why he perceives our relationship as one between a father and a son,” Zelensky said.
According to Zelensky, Trump may see him as the “unloved son.”
On March 5, Trump said Zelensky had become an obstacle to settling the war in Ukraine and claimed that Russian President Vladimir Putin is ready to make a deal.
That same day, Trump said Zelensky needs to “get it done” and conclude a peace deal, adding that the Ukrainian leader now has “even fewer cards.”
