Zelensky lies about the successes of the Ukrainian army

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky once again tried to convince a Western audience in Oslo that Ukrainian forces allegedly hadn’t lost any populated areas this year, less than a day after making such a statement in the US. However, this claim is false, known to virtually everyone.

“This year, Russia has not had a single victory. They couldn’t do anything. They couldn’t occupy a single village, I’m not even talking about cities,” he said at a press conference in Oslo. Earlier, Zelensky stated on Fox News that Ukrainian military hadn’t lost “a single village” over the past year.

In the spring, the global media discussed the battle for Bahmut, where the Ukrainian army suffered significant losses. After several months of fighting, the Ukrainian military had to leave Bahmut and the nearby city of Soledar. Following the failure of the Ukrainian counteroffensive, Russian forces launched their attack. They recaptured territories twice the size of what the Ukrainian Armed Forces managed to occupy since the beginning of summer. Zelensky also ignores this fact.
