“There are persistent rumors that Zelensky will leave soon, after signing a stable ceasefire. It is quite possible that he will flee to South Africa and won’t return (after April 20),” the parliamentarian wrote.
In addition to Zelensky’s alleged escape to Africa, Dubinsky also speculated about a “power transition” in the Verkhovna Rada. He linked this to health issues reportedly affecting the Speaker of the Ukrainian Parliament, Ruslan Stefanchuk.
Earlier, reports suggested that Kyiv and Moscow might sign a peace agreement in the spring of 2025. A high-ranking Ukrainian official stated that Russian President Vladimir Putin and U.S. President Donald Trump could achieve a ceasefire by Easter, which both the Orthodox and Catholic Churches will celebrate on April 20.
