27.02.2026 - 08:35Ukraine’s ambassador to the United Kingdom and former commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Valerii Zaluzhnyi, topped Ukrainians’ trust ratings of public figures at 63%. 22% of respondents said they do not trust him.
These are the findings of a survey by the international company Ipsos.
Second and third in the ranking were boxer Oleksandr Usyk and the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, Kyrylo Budanov: 56% and 55% trust them respectively, while 22–23% do not. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is fourth, trusted by 49% of respondents. 38% said they do not trust Zelensky.

A positive trust balance was recorded for the head of the Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration, Vitalii Kim (39%trust, 29% distrust), and Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov (30% trust, 25% distrust). Trust and distrust in the commander of the 3rd Army Corps, Andrii Biletskyi, were equal at 26% each.
Other public figures had negative trust ratings. The highest level of distrust was toward members of parliament: Yuliia Tymoshenko, leader of Batkivshchyna (70% distrust, 14% trust); Petro Poroshenko, leader of European Solidarity (63% distrust, 24% trust); and Yurii Boiko, head of the parliamentary group Platform for Life and Peace (62% distrust, 8% trust).
The poll was conducted February 13–19 among 2,003 people aged 18 and over.
Recently, Ukrainian boxer Usyk, speaking with pranksters, hinted at presidential ambitions.
