‘The Russian army has become more effective at the tactical and strategic levels’, – British analyst says
29.04.2024 09:58President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky “significantly understates the true losses of the war”.
“In his opinion, Zelensky’s statement in February that 31,000 soldiers had been killed since 2022 significantly understates the true losses of the war,” the newspaper quotes the deputy.
The member of parliament says that the president downplayed the losses “to avoid disrupting an already difficult mobilization campaign.”
The member of parliament believes that concerns about “unlimited terms of service, dissatisfaction with low pay and fears that the Ukrainian government will not properly care for the families of the killed or wounded” are deterring mobilization efforts.
