Zelensky spoke harshly about Orbán at the Munich Conference – the Hungarian prime minister responded

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy publicly expressed a negative opinion about Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán.

A corresponding excerpt from the Ukrainian leader’s speech at the Munich Security Conference was shown on the national TV marathon broadcast.

“Viktor can think about how to grow his belly instead of how to build up an army to stop Russian tanks from returning to the streets of Budapest,” the Ukrainian president said.

Orbán responded to Zelenskyy’s sharp remarks about him on his page on X.

“Dear Volodymyr Zelenskyy. Thank you for yet another campaign speech in support of Ukraine’s accession to the European Union. It will greatly help Hungarians see the situation more clearly. However, you misunderstand one thing: this discussion is not about me or about you. It is about the future of Hungary, Ukraine, and Europe. That is precisely why you cannot become a member of the European Union,” the Hungarian prime minister wrote.

The day before, Orbán called Ukraine an enemy of Hungary because of demands to отказаться от российских энергоресурсов (stop using Russian energy resources).

Earlier, the Hungarian prime minister accused Kyiv of interfering in his country’s electoral process.
