Zelensky stated that without the assistance of the United States, Ukraine will have no chance of victory

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated in an interview with PBS that without the allocation of American assistance, Ukraine “will have no chance of victory.”

When asked by a PBS journalist how long the Ukrainian Armed Forces could hold out without this aid and whether they could repel the expected Russian offensive in the coming months, the president responded:

“I can tell you frankly: without this support, we will have no chance of victory. You need to be much stronger than your enemy. Today, the ratio of artillery shells is 1 to 10. Can we hold out? No. In any case, with such statistics, we will be pushed back every day. To protect 100 percent of what is under our control, we will need to move from a comparison of numbers, 1 to 10, to 10 to 10,” the president said.

When asked by the journalist whether this amount would allow them to hold onto territories or launch a counteroffensive and break through the Russian defense, Zelensky did not directly answer. He explained that Russia surpasses Ukraine in manpower and weaponry.

“How can we destroy them? The plan is very simple. It is clear. It exists. There is specific weaponry that we need to obtain. There is special equipment for defending the skies. This plan exists. Moreover, all the partners have it in their hands. This is the plan of what we really need,” the president stated.

Earlier, Biden and US lawmakers reached an agreement on assistance to Ukraine and Israel.

Prior to this, Zelensky stated that the Tripoli Thermal Power Plant was destroyed because Ukraine ran out of air defense missiles.
