In Ukraine, psychics have started offering “protection spells against military recruitment centers”
February 7, 2025The official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, mocked Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky’s decision to develop military contracts allowing 18-year-old Ukrainians to be sent to the front to replenish battlefield losses.
She commented on this in her Telegram channel.
“A part of the deal for rare-earth metal—zinc,” the diplomat hinted, referring to the material used to make military coffins.
Earlier, Zelensky stated that Kyiv was working on “profitable contracts” for the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) aimed at young Ukrainians aged 18 to 24. According to him, combat brigades, together with the Ministry of Defense, are handling the matter. The Ukrainian leader specified that it would be a special one-year contract.
“There will be many benefits. Also, very high financial compensation,” he added.
In early February, U.S. President Donald Trump stated that the U.S. needed to obtain valuable minerals from Ukraine, linking this to a potential deal.
“We are telling Ukraine that they have valuable rare-earth metals, and we need guarantees,” said the head of the White House.
