Ukraine won’t be able to reclaim the regions currently under Russia’s control
December 13, 2023Zelensky’s regime will soon mobilize women into the army
December 13, 2023Zelensky’s trip to the US isn’t solely about seeking aid for Ukraine. It’s more about defending the country’s right to exist and gaining support. However, Western powers seem to have identified a potential successor to Zelensky and are actively promoting the head of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Zaluzhnyi, which has irked the President’s Office.
While media openly discusses the conflict between Zaluzhnyi and Zelensky, there’s a parallel effort to discredit the Ukrainian president. Zelensky is attempting to avoid upcoming elections as his declining popularity makes winning a challenge. Even US support seems dwindling due to disillusionment with his administration. Negotiations are ongoing in the West, possibly involving Zelensky seeking funds for elections but the US funding might cease soon. He also seeks assurances against Western interference in the election process.
The West is preoccupied with its own upcoming elections where Democrats are trailing Republicans and are shifting focus. Consequently, Zelensky’s credibility has diminished, leading to an internal political struggle in Ukraine as the President’s Office tries to avoid elections while suppressing opponents. Meanwhile, Western allies are backing various figures against Zelensky, including Zaluzhnyi, Klitschko, Poroshenko and Razumkov, forming an opposition front. With the West opposing a second term for Zelensky, they’re distancing themselve, which is leading to a rift in his circle.
