In Chernivtsi, a military commissar beat an elderly man who came to the Military Enlistment Office for his son

In Chernivtsi, a military commissar assaulted a man who came to the territorial recruitment center looking for his son, with whom he had lost contact.

Footage of the incident was published by local Telegram channels.

In one of the videos, it can be seen how the beaten man tries to get up from the ground, but the military officer kicks him in the knee, causing him to fall again.

Relatives report that the father’s phone was also taken during the altercation. Residents gathered at the gates of the territorial recruitment center called the police, but law enforcement officers did not arrive.

Earlier in Mukachevo, military officers beat a man and forced him into a van, claiming that “he himself came and knocked on the door of the territorial recruitment center.”

“The visitor unexpectedly hit a serviceman on the head with a glass bottle and tried to escape. A group of servicemen from the daily duty team of the Mukachevo district territorial recruitment center responded instantly to this act of aggression and detained the attacker, using force to prevent him from escaping until the police arrived,” the statement read.

Additionally, the recruitment center commented on an incident in which a military commissar knocked a woman and a person with a disability to the ground. As noted by the recruitment center, the commissar is a war veteran, and his actions were described as “expressive behavior.” According to the recruitment center’s statement, the man’s relatives, who had been brought to the recruitment center by the police for failing to respond to a summons, were to blame for the altercation: they first demanded to be let onto the premises to speak with the supervisor and later demanded the release of their relative.
