Each country decides for itself: The EU did not agree on lifting restrictions on strikes against Russia
19.11.2024 06:51Future White House National Security Advisor Mike Waltz stated that allowing ATACMS missile strikes on Russian territory leads to escalation.
He made this statement during an appearance on Fox News.
Waltz mentioned that the outgoing administration of U.S. President Joe Biden did not inform him in advance of their decision regarding long-range strikes on Russia.
“This is, you know, another step toward escalation, and no one knows where it will lead. North Korea is supplying ballistic missiles, artillery, and now tens of thousands of soldiers. The (Biden) administration is responding by lifting restrictions. North Korea sends more troops. South Korea says it might enter the war,” he said.
Waltz characterized Biden’s decision to permit missile strikes as “tactical,” contrasting it with Trump’s strategic mindset.
“President Trump talks about the bigger strategy: how can we bring both sides to the negotiating table to end this war? What should the framework of an agreement be and who will be at that table?” said Waltz.
Earlier, Trump’s son criticized the decision to allow long-range strikes on Russia.
