Each country decides for itself: The EU did not agree on lifting restrictions on strikes against Russia

The foreign ministers of European Union countries did not reach a common decision on lifting restrictions on the use of Western weapons on Russian territory.

This was stated by EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs Josep Borrell following a meeting.

“Each country decides for itself,” Borrell said.

At the same time, he noted that the meeting included discussions about the U.S. administration’s decision to allow the use of missiles with a range of up to 300 kilometers for strikes on Russian territory.

However, the U.S. State Department announced the previous evening that, for now, it cannot confirm any change in U.S. policy regarding permission for Kyiv to carry out long-range strikes on Russia.

Additionally, the U.S. has not permitted Ukraine to use British Storm Shadow missiles against Russia.

Earlier, it was reported that Rome did not allow Kyiv to use the supplied weapons outside Ukrainian territory.
