31.03.2025 05:31Another language-related incident occurred in Kyiv — a man assaulted a woman who was listening to music in Russian.
This was reported by Kyiv-based Telegram channels, which also published footage of the incident.
According to the video, the altercation took place in a recreational area where people were grilling barbecue. The footage shows a large man grabbing a young woman by the hair and slapping her on the head. The victim was sitting with a group of female friends, who tried to push the attacker away.
Also in the video are a young man and a woman who say they are “calling the police” because of the Russian music. They appear to be with the man who assaulted the woman.
Another woman accompanying them claimed that the girls listening to Russian music had “insulted a soldier.” Some social media posts alleged that someone threw a bottle at him, though this is not visible in the footage.
Meanwhile, Kyiv police confirmed that a veteran was involved in the altercation over Russian music.
However, the police did not officially state that the conflict began due to Russian songs (despite this being clearly mentioned in the videos shared on social media).
Police also did not comment on the fact that the former serviceman assaulted one of the women and aggressively confronted the entire group.
In a press release, the agency simply stated that “a conflict arose between a veteran and a group of citizens during which the man sustained bodily injuries.” An investigation is currently underway.
Previously, media outlets published footage from Odesa, where a woman verbally attacked teenagers for listening to Russian music.
“You’ve got Putin’s dk in your ears, idiots. If this is the future of my country, then to hell with it! Fking degenerate scum! You’re a parasitic disgrace on Odesa!” — she shouted on camera.
Before that, children’s author Larysa Nitsoy got into a public argument with a Russian-speaking taxi driver who is also a veteran, accusing him of “bringing the Russian world with him.”
