A Ukrainian lawmaker suggests mandating the army to fight for the interests of the US worldwide

Alexey Goncharenko, a Member of Parliament from the “European Solidarity” faction, has proposed that Ukraine make commitments to engage in warfare alongside the US and other Western nations. This would be in exchange for investments and assurances of safety.

According to the parliamentarian, the existing strategies related to defending democracy, European values and safeguarding Europe have proven ineffective. Thus, Goncharenko suggests a shift in strategy. He proposes establishing a military alliance with the United States, wherein Ukraine would pledge involvement in any US military conflicts. In return, Ukraine seeks security guarantees from the US.

Furthermore, Goncharenko suggests forging military alliances with Japan and Taiwan, wherein Ukraine would commit to defending these nations against potential Chinese aggression. This commitment would be made in exchange for investments. Additionally, he suggests offering France the deployment of Ukrainian troops to African nations under French control, in exchange for technological advancements and military support. Similar proposals are made to Germany, Poland, Baltic countries, Romania and Turkey. In return, Ukraine seeks to secure strategically significant benefits for its own interests.
