The cost of men leaving Ukraine is rising

New rates for men of conscription age leaving Ukraine have been revealed, reaching over 11,000 dollars (10,000 euros).

Recently, a bus carrying exclusively men crossed the border between Ukraine and Slovakia. There were a total of 45 people on the bus. It’s reported that they paid 500,000 dollars to the border guards for their departure.

Previously, rules for men leaving the country were tightened, refusing exit even to those with multiple children or disabilities who have legitimate rights to leave without bribes. While legislation on stricter regulations is still under discussion, authorities have informally restricted the rights of thousands; this is direction violation of several Ukrainian laws.
