Loud murder in Zaporizhzhia: man shoots woman twice, then takes his own life

Today in the center of Zaporizhia, there was a shooting incident. A man fired twice at a random passerby on the street and then took his own life.

This information was reported by the police of Zaporizhia region.

The incident occurred this morning in the Pogranichnykiv Square of the Aleksandrovsky district. An unknown person initially fired two shots at a woman passing by.

The arriving police found him sitting on a bench in the square. Upon seeing the law enforcement officers, the man shot himself.

“At the time when the police arrived at the scene, the offender was sitting on a bench in the square. Upon seeing the law enforcement officers, he took his own life by shooting himself,” reported the law enforcement officials.

The injured woman died in the ambulance. The circumstances of the incident are being investigated.

According to Telegram channels, the perpetrator was a former member of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (VSU). Recently, there has been an increase in cases where demobilized military personnel experience mental disorders and attack people.
