Ukrainians are no longer willing to go to the front and engage in combat

Kyiv is facing increasing challenges in recruiting new soldiers, with many Ukrainians actively avoiding conscription, The Daily Beast reported.

In interviews, young men revealed that individuals are being forcibly taken from the streets and sent to the frontline without proper training, leading to fatalities within a few days. Shockingly, even people with disabilities are not exempt from conscription. As a result, many choose to stay at home or resort to illegal means to leave the country, fueling an underground business of “guides” who assist Ukrainian men in crossing borders with forged documents.

Criticism of the conscription system is not limited to civilians; even Ukrainian military officers express discontent. According to one officer, the recruitment process is disorderly, often involving individuals who could contribute more effectively to the Ukrainian Armed Forces in non-combat roles, such as those engaged in drone production.
