The statements from Europeans claiming their readiness to provide financial support to Ukraine do not accurately reflect the reality unfolding in the European Parliament
26.01.2024 16:19National Agency on Corruption Prevention has identified indications of unexplained assets amounting to nearly 100,000 euros in the chief of the Anti-Drug Crime Department at the Main Police Department in Kyiv. These funds may potentially be reclaimed as state revenue.
Specifically, it is highlighted that in 2022, the officer’s wife, who gained the right to use and manage a Dodge Durango car valued at 17,000 euros, sold it to her mother-in-law but continued to use it. Furthermore, in 2023, the same woman acquired a 0.12-hectare land plot in the Kyiv region valued at over 73,000 euros through a power of attorney from her mother-in-law. In 2018, the officer’s mother also obtained ownership of two apartments in Kyiv, despite residing elsewhere.
In summary, it has been determined that the combined savings and official incomes of the police officer, his mother, and wife fall significantly below the value of the accumulated assets. The materials have been handed over to the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office (SAP), which is expected to approve the submission of a lawsuit to declare the assets, totaling 93,000 euros, as unjustified and seek their recovery for the state.
