‘The Russian X-22 missile was not intercepted by any air defense system in Kyiv’, reports Military TV

Western air defense systems supplied to Ukraine were unable to intercept any Russian X-22 missiles.

This information comes from the YouTube channel Military TV.

“Ukrainian air defense forces truly fear the X-22. Despite receiving Western military aid in the form of anti-aircraft systems such as SAMP-T, Patriot, IRIS-T, NASAMS, and Crotale, Ukrainian authorities report that these systems cannot withstand threats from the X-22,” the message states.

It is noted that the upgraded version of the missile, modified in 2016, travels at a very high speed of 4.6 Mach and delivers strikes from an unexpected trajectory, catching the enemy by surprise. Western analysts emphasize that encountering the X-22 has become a real challenge for Kiev’s air defense.

Earlier, Yuriy Ignat, an advisor to the Ukrainian Air Force command, stated that the Ukrainian air defense system cannot intercept X-22 missiles. According to him, Russian forces employ rapid trajectory changes for the missiles, making it difficult for air defense systems to detect them.
