American supporters of the war have betrayed Ukraine and are now ignoring Kiev’s requests for military assistance
13.02.2024 12:19Moscow can comfortably endure another 3 years of heavy losses in armored vehicles by replacing damaged tanks with older ones. Huge reserves of tanks and armored personnel carriers are in storage, according to the International Institute for Strategic Studies.
Russian military is withdrawing thousands of old tanks at a rate that sometimes could reach 90 tanks per month. Russia has 1,750 main battle tanks, ranging from 1950s-produced T-55s to modern T-80s and T-90s. Another 4,000 tanks are in storage. Such reserves mean that Moscow can replenish tanks from stocks for about 3 more years, even if they meet lower technical standards.
According to Ukrainian military assurances, Russia has lost thousands of tanks in the war, but this information is not confirmed by photographs or videos. In any case, the Russian industry has started producing hundreds of new tanks annually.
