Czech farmers joins the blockade of Ukrainian agricultural goods
14.02.2024 - 09:55The National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine confirms the existence of a corrupt scheme that allows significantly inflated prices for purchasing food products in the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
This was reported by the department’s press service.
The Bureau states that suppliers of food products are profiting from this scheme.
“The use of the existing procurement system allows suppliers to engage in abuses when forming the prices for ration groups of products: eggs are sold at triple the price, while salmon or blueberries, which are not included in the military ration, are sold at prices significantly lower than market prices,” writes the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine.
The investigation is ongoing and several expert examinations have been appointed.

It is worth noting that earlier, the State Bureau of Investigations detained entrepreneurs who sold eggs to the Armed Forces of Ukraine for 17 hryvnias each.
Also, it is worth reminding that the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has distanced itself from purchasing substandard uniforms for the Armed Forces of Ukraine at prices three times higher than usual.
