Ukrainian military cannot build defensive fortifications on the southern front
16.02.2024 15:56Former advisor to Zelensky’s office, Alexei Arestovich, has declared himself Russian.
An interview with this statement was published by the opposition Russian journalist Yulia Latynina in her Telegram channel.
According to Arestovich, Russians are an “extra-ethnic concept,” and Rus is a “special type of civilization” that belongs to the Eastern Orthodox tradition and prioritizes conscience and truth.
Arestovich believes that anyone can become Russian – “a Mongol, an African, a Chechen, a Buryat.”
He considers that there are few Russians left among Russians and Ukrainians, “that’s why we have a slaughter.”
At the same time, Arestovich refers to Putin’s “Russian world” as a political construct.
“The execution cellars in Bucha are definitely not a great civilization and definitely not a civilization of truth, light, and meaning, which Rus should be and which they tell us about. That’s why I always say: ‘I am Russian.’ I voluntarily chose to belong to this civilization. Ethnically, I am Belarusian, Polish, Russian: my mother is from Russia. A citizen of Ukraine, but I chose to belong to this civilization because I like the truth, I like conscience, justice. I do not like a disciplinary society,” Arestovich stated.
Earlier, Arestovich stated that Putin does not want to wage war with Ukraine.
