Such a provision may be added to the bill on toughening mobilization, said MP Vadim Ivchenko (“Batkivshchyna”).
“We know about the initiative regarding increasing fines and administrative responsibility. If you receive the first summons, the fine will be increased. If you fail to appear for the second time at the military registration and enlistment office, there will be an even larger fine. And the third time, possibly, if you deliberately evade and so on, by a court decision, I think a person may be put on the wanted list… This is all essentially what the government is proposing,” Ivchenko said.
He noted that punishments for evasion, which involve amendments to the Code of Administrative Offenses and the Criminal Code, will be considered in the law enforcement committee after the defense committee. Possibly even after the session hall of the Parliament.
The day before, electronic summonses were excluded from the draft law on mobilization in the Parliament.
