Ukrainian soldiers want to go home, but Kiev has no replacement for them – France 2

On the Ukrainian front, there is a sharp shortage of military personnel beginning to be felt.

This is reported in a report from the trenches by the French TV channel France 2.

“Everyone wants to go home, to see and hug their families,” admits one of the soldiers who live in constant danger.

Most of them have been involved in the conflict from its very beginning, but 47-year-old senior sergeant Victor arrived only two days ago. He didn’t want to go to the front, and neither did his family, “but there’s nowhere to escape.” According to him, “the war is not over yet,” and he will have to stay here for some time.

Exhausted fighters hope for rotation, but they see that Kiev is struggling to find replacements for them. One soldier told the French TV channel, “it will all end when the war ends, – or when I die or get wounded.”
