In the draft law on mobilization, restrictions on consular services for Ukrainians without a military ID have been reinstated

In Ukraine, the draft law on toughening mobilization has reintroduced restrictions on consular services for Ukrainian citizens abroad who do not have a military ID.

This was reported on Facebook by Member of Parliament Irina Friz following a meeting of the Committee on National Security, Defense, and Intelligence of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.

“The Committee has reintroduced restrictions on the provision of consular services to Ukrainian citizens abroad without military registration documents,” Friz wrote.

Furthermore, according to her, the committee decided to reconsider issues related to blocking accounts, prohibiting driving vehicles, and traveling abroad for draft dodgers. Previously, these provisions were removed from the draft law through amendments. Now they may be reintroduced.

At the same time, she said, the relaxation regarding the electronic cabinet of the conscript remains unchanged: opening it will still be a right, not an obligation (as it was in the original version of the draft law).
