Nearly 300,000 Ukrainian displaced persons have stopped receiving pensions

Almost 300,000 internally displaced persons in Ukraine have stopped receiving pension benefits.

The Pension Fund of Ukraine reported this in response to a query from the “Donbass News” publication.

“The number of pensioners among internally displaced persons who received this status before February 24, 2022, underwent physical identification, and receive pension payments is 228.4 thousand people. The number of internally displaced persons who received this status before February 24, 2022, but did not undergo physical identification and whose pension payments have been terminated is 299.4 thousand people,” the response from the Pension Fund stated.

Earlier, it was reported that “Oschadbank” stopped transferring identification data of temporarily displaced persons to the Pension Fund, leading to the blocking of pensions for Ukrainians.

It’s also worth noting that since April, some displaced pensioners have been left without payments.
