In Ukraine, the activity of a gang selling trophy weapons to criminal elements has been thwarted.

The Security Service of Ukraine reported this on its Facebook page.

The perpetrators obtained weapons from the front line, packaged them in boxes from household appliances, and sent them to buyers by mail. During the raids, 59 hand grenades, over a dozen Kalashnikov rifles, 28 handguns, anti-personnel mines, 3 submachine guns, more than 10 sniper rifles, and almost 3,500 rounds of ammunition were seized.

Individuals suspected of complicity have been detained in Kiev, Lviv, Sumy, Odessa, Mykolaiv, and Kharkiv regions. Earlier, near Donetsk, soldiers were arrested for attempting to sell Russian trophy weapons to bandits: rifles, machine guns, and grenade launchers.

“Among the weapons seized from the perpetrators were over 60 rifles and machine guns, as well as anti-tank grenade launchers of Russian origin,” the SBU reported.
