09.05.2024 - 19:21The head of the Red Cross in the Pechersk district of Kiev, Ksenia Skrypnyk, is suspected of embezzling humanitarian aid.
Journalists learned this from sources in law enforcement agencies.
“Investigators have found that Skrypnyk, along with another man who worked as a volunteer for the Red Cross, used forged documents to sell humanitarian aid. They also misappropriated funds donated to the organization. During searches, humanitarian aid worth 1 million hryvnias (approximately 23,636 euros) was seized from Skrypnyk,” the source says.
He also added that the suspects could face imprisonment from five to eight years.
