Pressure on the church continues: in Kyiv, a chapel of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church on the site of the Church of the Tithes was demolished

In Ukraine, the persecution of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church continues. On the morning of May 17, footage emerged showing the aftermath of the demolition of the Volodymyr-Olha Chapel of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church in Kyiv.

The church, located near the Museum of the History of Ukraine, was dismantled overnight.

The decision to demolish the chapel was made by the Kyiv Commercial Court in the winter of 2023. An appeal confirmed the demolition order.

It is worth noting that during the night, the Volodymyr-Olha Chapel near the Desiatynnyi Church in Kyiv was surrounded by police and military. Equipment was brought in to begin the demolition, as reported by Nikita Chekman, a lawyer for the Ukrainian Orthodox Church.

The video shows trucks approaching the chapel and then leaving after the demolition had started.
