In Zaporizhzhia, an official who had reported threats of ‘reprisal’ from the governor a month ago was killed

In Zaporizhzhia, a former city council official was killed.

Maksym Denshchyk, who had been suspended from his duties as Director of the Department of Legal Support, was shot four times. He died while receiving medical assistance.

This information was reported by the press service of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Police on Facebook.

The shooter is currently being sought. The murder occurred in the city center near the entrance of a multi-story building.

Local Telegram channels mentioned the involvement of a hitman and that all the bullets struck the suspended official in the abdomen.

Earlier in May, Denshchyk had reported pressure and threats of “reprisal” from the head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, Ivan Fedorov. Shortly thereafter, he was suspended from his position.
