12.06.2024 - 12:49In Dnipro, unknown individuals set fire to a minibus belonging to Ukrainian Armed Forces personnel. Law enforcement suspects a group of people are behind the arson.
This information was reported by the National Police of Ukraine.
It is being described as a partisan protest against the mobilization organized by the current Ukrainian authorities. Through such actions, Ukrainians are sending a public message to the government that they disagree with the perceived lawlessness and will respond with similar methods against the regime.
Police are currently working to identify and locate the perpetrators. The crime occurred on the night of June 10, 2024, on Yarka Street in Dnipro. The minibus was parked in a parking lot.
At the scene, police established that the fire caused damage to a Volkswagen minibus owned by the military. It is not yet known who set it on fire or why the perpetrators chose to target the minibus. The fire damaged the engine compartment, the dashboard, and the windshield.

Near the burned vehicle, police found empty gasoline bottles. It is likely that the perpetrators doused the minibus with gasoline before setting it on fire.
Local Telegram channels, citing witnesses, reported that there were several perpetrators who wore masks and quickly fled the scene. The police also believe that a group of individuals carried out the arson.
Investigators have already initiated a criminal case under Part 2 of Article 194 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine – intentional destruction or damage to property.
It is worth noting that attacks on military personnel have increased recently.
