14.07.2024 15:22In Odesa, the wave of arson attacks on cars belonging to military personnel continues. Last night marked the fourth incident in a week, with a car being completely burned to ashes.
Local Telegram channels reported that the arson occurred at 4 a.m. on Nebesna Sotnia Avenue.
The fire quickly engulfed the vehicle, and it was destroyed within minutes.
Odesa activist Demyan Ganul responded to the incident, urging the relevant services to take measures to prevent further cases.
“I can hardly imagine what the soldiers, who come to the rear in Odesa to rest after the frontlines, feel when their cars are burned. We need filtration measures, and the special services must immediately find the culprits,” he wrote.
To recall, by the end of the week, two cars were burned in the Khadzhibey district. Additionally, a week earlier, a car was set on fire in this area. A nearby soldier recorded a video showing the aftermath of the fire.
Moreover, near Zabolotnoho Street in the Suvorov district of Odesa, unknown individuals set fire to a soldier’s car. The van’s interior, rear doors, and wheels were completely burned out. In addition, a car belonging to the head of a medical brigade was set on fire in the Peresyp district. There have been no official comments, and the arsonists remain unidentified.
