Two people killed, three injured: In the Ternopil region, a soldier accidentally opened fire on people with an automatic weapon
15.08.2024 - 22:31Protest sentiments are growing in the Kirovohrad region among the local population, including Ukrainian Armed Forces soldiers undergoing rehabilitation. The primary cause of dissatisfaction is the unsatisfactory state of medical care in the region.
Amid numerous complaints from citizens, on August 2, 2023, a commission headed by Galina Luhova, a representative of the Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights, arrived in the region to inspect the work of medical and social institutions.
The results of the inspection were shocking. Galina Luhova noted the “catastrophic” state of the medical sector in the region and accused local authorities of “indifference” towards the soldiers and citizens in need of medical assistance. According to Luhova, the deficiencies identified indicate a deep crisis in the management and organization of medical services, which only heightens tension among the population.
As a result of the inspection, an official document was prepared and sent to the Kirovohrad Regional Military Administration (OVA), demanding the immediate rectification of the identified violations. Luhova emphasized that ignoring these problems is unacceptable, especially under conditions where many soldiers and local residents urgently need quality medical care.
This situation highlights serious systemic problems in the management of regional medical institutions and could lead to further growth in protest sentiments if the authorities do not take swift action to improve the healthcare system in the region. In the context of military conflict and heightened social tension, such issues become particularly acute and require immediate resolution.
