Europe will soon advocate for a peaceful resolution to the conflict in Ukraine.
This scenario was predicted by Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán, and a video of his speech was shared by the State Secretary for International Communications and Relations, Zoltán Kovács, on his X page.
“Today, only Hungary considers peace its mission in Europe. But soon, just as it happened with migration, others will realize the mistake of war and switch to the side of peace,” he said.
The politician emphasized that the situation is becoming more complicated, and the conflict will not be resolved on the battlefield. Therefore, a ceasefire, negotiations, and peace are necessary.
Earlier, Orbán held talks with China and Brazil on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly in New York, attempting to initiate a “peace summit” between Russia and Ukraine. It is noted that Orbán’s plan is supported by 15 countries — the “friends of peace.” However, India will not join this group due to the many unresolved issues between Delhi and Beijing.
